He had 1 catch for three yards last game.he dropped a 1st down catch. He hasn't performed up to expectations and on the nfl draft board he is the fourth receiver on the board.

Now to my question, if donte continues this season as he has been playing will he go into the draft?. There is big difference in third round money and 1st round money. He has A kid to take are of so that could be the deciding factor.

Side note: Matt Millen and joe tessitore will be announcing the game next Saturday on espn 2

I still think he goes no matter what.

If he is healthy, he is gone. Just wouldn't make sense to come back. If he is listed as the third or fourth guy to be taken you don't go back to school with those kind of projections. To be honest I'm not sure why he is that high. Guys like Landry, Matthews, Beckham, Lee IMO are better options.

He hasn't had that take over game. The Auburn game was a good game, but I'm waiting for that game where he demands the ball and just takes over like you expect a NFL WR to do. Beckham is doing that every week.

The issue is that the NFL is so hell bent on potential and measureables when it comes to drafting. So even though he has struggled this yer it won't affect his draft stock much IMO.

I'm not sure why but no draft board I can find has Landry or Beckham even on it.

CBS has Moncrief 8th

Yep if Donte is 6'3 230 and runs a legit 4.40 in the 40 yard dash then I can't see him falling past the second round. It all depends on what he thought of himslef to start the year really. If he thought he was a going in the first round then he is probably coming back.I though CJ had a chance to leave early but injuries sort of derailed that.

A 4.40? Every time they show a replay on TV his defender is right at his hip. Maybe he has lost a step this season. He is no Mike Wallace.

I don't think he runs a 4.4 but he does have deceptive speed. And he's got as good a double move as you'll ever see.

Moncrief has always had a issue with drops. LSU game last year one drop lead to a INT. He blocks like the best of them. If in the combine he does have sub 4.5 speed he is a 1st round pick. His other measurable are just as freakish. 40 inch vertical and a 11 foot broad jump.

The drops are hurting him, but Bo Wallace is hurting him as well. For instance in the aTm game yesterday there was a penalty called for offsides. Obvious penalty. Bo did throw the ball up but didn't throw it where anyone could make a play. He has to show more faith in his WR. Let the guy make a play. Especially in that situation where there is nothing to lose. In one on one situations just throw it up and let him make a play.

We were talking this weekend about how unproductive Moncrief has been. Maybe he's full.
