I completely understand why Peyton didn't come to OM, so I root for the guy.

As a Manning, I love him and respect him. I obviously have more love for Eli being an Ole Miss fan. However, I pull for the Saints against either of them.

I understand his decision to go to UT. There's no doubt that Peyton grew up as an Ole Miss fan. I agree that if Cooper would have been able to keep playing, and Ole Miss wouldn't have been facing probation, Peyton might have gone to Ole Miss. Naturally, that's all just assumption, but I don't think it's unreasonable. I would have loved for him to go to Ole Miss, but I can't fault him for choosing otherwise.

He comes to Oxford some, but he's just not part of the Manning family as we see it.

From my understanding, he has given money to Ole Miss. He supports Ole Miss in a great way. I consider him every bit of part of the Ole Miss family. He made the right decision at the time.

And at the end of the day ... he's a Manning.

While I think it's a tragedy we didn't get Peyton, I can't really blame the guy. We were in a world of crap, and while I may not have gone to Tennessee, I would probably have gone to some other school besides Ole Miss.

Peyton himself has admitted it, so definitely not unreasonable.

The probation makes it pretty easy to forgive.

Even if Peyton went to Ole Miss....we would have still been sitting at home at the end of each season. It really wouldn't have helped us.
