So, why switch a TrFr TE to LB instead of just bringing in TrFr LB's?

...yeah, because it's as simple as that. We are a LB recruiting powerhouse and everything.

Getting Roquan Smith would help.

Cooley needs to stay a TE... He will be dominant at that position

I agree with Cooley staying at TE. He is not nearly physical enough. Now if you want to convert a WR to LB, you need to look at Brown up at Starkville. The kid is super physical and a legit 220 lbs.

Knotts dad played at OM so we have that in... His combine measurables are gaudy AF.... He just needs to be shaped into more of a player instead of a combine number machine

Knott is wide open and has said as such even though his Father played at OM. I would like to see him transfer over from Gluckstadt. JMO (I am MC biased) but he'd get better coaching/7v7 time under B. Peterson at MC.

I really think the NCAA needs to step in regarding what happened to CeCe Jefferson and Roquan Smith. There was a kid at Texas that was told the day before signing day the DL coach wasn't going anywhere by Strong. Next day he signs, then the news comes out his DL coach is leaving. Strong lied to his face one day before signing day.

I understand people say you commit to the school, but a position coach is probably the most important coach on the field for you. Next guy just might not like you. That would directly reflect in your opportunity. Now Smith is getting negative attention for extending the process as if he was the bad guy. Makes no sense.

It won't change because it hurts the NCAA's position in its on-going lawsuits. If they concede that these kids do not commit to schools, but rather the coaches, it crushes their argument about how the most important duty of the NCAA's organization is to provide education over being essentially an organized football league that doesn't pay its players.

I seriously disagree with this contention, as the relationship with the coaches is the biggest factor in the school these kids choose, but the NCAA will keep the rule as is to protect their own legal interests.

We're moving to a 6-0-5 setup.

2 DTs
4 DEs
2 Corners
2 Safeties
1 Rover

Don't need no stinking linebackers

Is this even possible?

I didn't even think we were in his final 5? Did he even visit?

Sounds to me like Demetric warren is the bag man. Or the go between... And he's fattening his wallet by getting kickbacks for swaying recruits usually to state. While he is working recruits he also gets information that he uses in his 'reporting job'. Sounds like by being a recruiting reporter he found something a little more lucrative and it gives him an in/ close access with prospects that no one would question.

He should definitely be looked into thoroughly by someone.
Seems to me he has already crossed the line of impartial reporter and become an influencer.

Warren probably has dirt on us and vice versa. Only explainable reason he hasn't seen more heat on him.
