I wouldn't want my highly talented QB son playing behind a Matt Luke coached OL and being pulled out in short yardage situations for the lesser talented backup.

If Shea decommits and signs elsewhere, that is on Freeze and his stubbornness.

I wouldn't be surprised if Shea ends up somewhere else

I hope it doesn't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised either. Hopefully that fact, paired with the terrible losses, light a fire under Freeze and he makes the necessary changes

I'm a little disappointed in Drake Davis' visit this weekend. It seems like LSU is in it, but we don't feel nearly as good about our chances like we do Saivion Smith, Shavar Manuel, and now Rashaun Smith. Still sounds like Ole Miss leads.

LSU is trying to get Mykel Jones badly, but he still seems to be set on going OOS. Another guy Ole Miss is in a good spot for.

Willie Allen is apparently a take again. He's a great athlete that needs to work on his strength and technique. Seems like a really good redshirt candidate.

Deontay Anderson was in town last weekend. It sounds like Ole Miss still leads, but the gap has shrunk substantially. He's also taking his official the weekend before signing day. that one is going to be a really tight race between LSU and Ole Miss

Reading in between the lines it sounds like Devin White is an LSU silent to be honest.

Finally Greg Little was in this weekend. Sounds like his visit went great, but I think LSU and Ole Miss are both behind Alabama right now. Sucks those bastards have bounced back like they have so quickly.

And success breeds success and that same can be said for failure.

Thanks for the info

We desperately need OL, so I hope we are pushing really hard for Allen.

From what I remember, it was rumored that Anderson would commit to us a while ago, and it didn't happen, so I'm guessing its a very close race.

All in all, I think LSU will pull in the best class this year. I think y'all win the SEC this year, which can only help recruiting.

White, as much as it pains me to say it, is going to LSU. I'm pretty sure someone created that kid in a 3D printer as the solution to all our problems but he grew self-aware and is now going to the Bayou.

Anderson and Davis will be Bearsharks, count on that.

I think Little is still a real possibility for us as Cam Robinson still has another year. Allen is LSU's if they want him badly enough. Jones, I have no clue but I can't imagine we're in it for him.

Disagree, we have a couple of heavy backs now, but the OL sucks and they just aren't on the same level as other SEC backs

Unlike most I don't think its the RB that is the problem. You need vision and all those things but LF wasn't gaining yards with the OL we fielded against Memphis. Especially if the coaching staff continues to run right at the weakness of the OL. Jeffrey Wright mentioned we averaged like 6-8 yards running at Tunsil last year...so why run anywhere else at all? With him and Patterson, I'd run every running play to the left and dare you to stop it.

Doing a little reading between the lines there aren't you? If you're talking about the 247 national analyst's article, he never gives a top 2. It reads as if he was specifically asked about Bama and OM, then goes on to list the 5 he's considering. I can see where you're seeing that, but it takes a little reaching IMO.

Well we didn't have Tunsil Saturday.

But yes, we averaged 6.8 yards running at Tunsil, and 2.1 running to the right side.

Thats all recruiting pieces are, reading between the lines. You cant tell me that that piece did not shock you since you all believed State led. Do you think that is still the case? Now who is reaching. Hell the title of the article is "Bama, Ole Miss battling for Simmons"
