Ah. I get what you're saying, but we can all agree that these guys that run recruiting websites are as far from "journalists" as it gets.

BTW, doesn't Barton Simmons have some kind of degree from Yale or Harvard?

Yeah that's true. I don't know what to call them anymore, I guess amateur bloggers suits most of them. I don't read articles from Yancy or David anymore because they're just dreadful. Barton's a Yale grad from a pretty wealthy Nashville family.

Yeah that actually fits pretty well. I guess eventually they could be upgraded to professional bloggers.

I wonder how the hell he got into working for 24/7 or why. I mean, surely he could be making a lot more money elsewhere doing something worth doing...

Look, I apologize for even starting this discussion. I have to do it once every ~4 months or so to get it out of my system. I get rustled sometimes because it's like y'all believe all State fans are akin to ED posters and follow Steve religiously, while you view all OM Posters to be the most level headed realistic people.

I just have to point out that it's not true, even if everyone already knows it

Also, @ people thinking Engie and I are the same person.

I don't think the State posters on here are bad. tGrind 2K14 was outstanding and I look forward to this year's edition. The ones that catch the most shite are Bunty because of his wildly unsuccessful predictions, and croomdawgie for being the Fireman of the fanbase.

ED posters are all just awful, though. I've only been on that site for maybe 15 minutes in my lifetime and it's all Rebsessed or wild predictions for State teams. It's y'all's version of Spirit posters, who constantly bring up where State stands in the recruiting rankings or when one of your guys gets arrested. Both are horrible.

IRL, I've met some annoying fans from both sides. Like the Rebel fans that think we should fire AK because we deserve better despite us having the worst basketball tradition of any Power 5 school. And State fans that have yelled at me unprovoked about how snobby Ole Miss people are and all tend to be chicks with fake blonde hair and tattoos, or this guy making the tractors joke.

Still have nothing but love for my Bulldog brethren, despite y'all having the second-ugliest dog mascot in the conference ahead of Aggie's collie.

Nobody here thinks that our TD state posters are anything like ED posters unless they're like coach or that OM fans are level headed. Everybody here knows Steve is a crazy person however. He wrote a long diatribe about his felonious background sucking dick for drugs and breaking into houses.

Honestly, that's probably one of the better things he has ever written. As weird and crazy as he is, I'm glad he got his life together, which could be a lot different today had he not.

The tractor jokes are funny, though I've known plenty of UM grads that are farmers.

Bulldogs are so ugly they're cute.

The cow jokes are even funnier, considering Ox ford & La Fayette County have just as many, if not more, cattle than Starkville/Oktibbeha.

Johnny Vaught was a cattleman in retirement.

The look of pride on his face after he made the joke was just infuriating for some reason.

Was only mildly funny; there are plenty of State Grad Lawyers.

They have the same low chance of being decent human beings as the rest.

State/OM jokes are funny; especially the ones that that a stereotypical.

I don't think I'll ever be able to truly respect State people anymore after they let Bojangles close down. I campaigned Bojangles to bring one to Oxford or the surrounding area but they never did. What the face is wrong with y'all?

Haven't lived in Starkville for a long time, so don't know.
