Is Yancy still MIA? If so that's pretty funny I'm not gonna lie

I wonder if the coaching staff told him to stop. I remember Nutt's staff threatening to never tell him or his sources a single thing ever again if he didn't STFU.

Hey Realist, David commented on 247 about the Van Jefferson situation on a thread in the Shark Tank. Do you know what he said. (just asking because I see you post over there too.)

Can't remember the recruits name but someone on Nutt's staff had told him once that we were secretly bringing in a state recruit that looked like he might flip. But they specifically told Yancy not to post or say anything about it because, if it got out, the MSU coaches will find out and prevent it from happening.

Yancy didn't even make it an hour before he posted it on the Spirit.......

He basically said that he's checking with his sources on it and that 15 minutes ago they were fairly confident Van will be a Rebel

He said he isn't overly worried about Van Jefferson and that things are looking better but still slim for Leo.

I am pissed, I am royally pissed.

Nah but in all seriousness we all thought this class would not be the best, and that 16 was the year. Now that we had a taste of what it "could" have been it leaves a bitter taste in our mouths to see what has come to fruition "so far".

Alas, it's just kids choosing to go to college, at the end of my day it really doesn't matter and I live and breathe Ole Miss Football much to the annoyance of Floridians here.

Take a peak at how Baylor and Michigan State and TCU etc recruit, even Mizzou. They always have 3 stars and not much else, and look how well they have done in recent times. It's quite amazing, think back before stars existed. I will admit I get caught up as much as the next guy if we get a 5 star here and a 4 star there. But I bet a lot of our 3 stars will surprise us.

Number 17 ring a bell for us? 3 star.
Dexter Mcluster 3 star.
Shay Hodge 3 star.
Isaac Gross 3 star.
Mike Hilton 3 star.
Marques haynes 3 star.

I am not trying to sunshine pump, but next year may be better and who knows who we sign tomorrow. I bet you we will still compete like no other this upcoming season no matter where we finish.

Stay positive and Hotty Totty.

I've seen the bad I was there under Orgeron, and Nutt... we are in good hands.

It was never there. He edited his bio from saying something about Michigan being where he was from...
But it never said it in the Bio. He didn't delete his committment tweet so thats a plus

While both are/were pretty good for us....They play like a high 3 star/low 4 star. They are "just good enough" to make an impact.

We need to step past those and bring in solid impact players. That's the next step....not some Grinder mentality of hoping for 1 or 2 guys rated 3 star that play like 4 stars. We need 4 stars that play like 5 stars and 5 stars that play like 1st round draft picks.

We don't need that bro. We need someone who can develop 3 stars to play as good as a 5 star. It's possible. Scouting players isn't an exact science get your head out of your arse.

This sums it up pretty good. We know how well the coaches can recruit here and that makes this shite harder to take. Unfortunately, we aren't in a place to have banner classes every year. Who knows, maybe we will some day.

Everything will play out tomorrow and we'll be on to '16. Which I'm sure will get everyone excited and I'm sure we'll miss out on some big names.

There are tons of schools that are solid who finish way outside of the top 20 in recruiting every damn year. It's not a necessity. So if they can do it with 50+ ranked class we can do it with sub 20, that's it.

gotcha. So only recruit 3 stars from here out and hope for the best. Brilliant

This is all fine and good.

Just to be devil's advocate though. Look at the teams finishing at the top every year. They don't do it by getting Top 50 recruiting classes. If we're striving to win 'ships then we need to have top ranked classes year in and year out.
