Pellerin really reminds me of Dak. As far as his recruitment has gone, being from Louisiana and getting little attention from LSU, and just his game on the field. If he turns into Dak, that would be nice.

ETA: Fak, my 2000th post was about Dak and Jason Pellerin. I thought it was going to be so much more special.

Saw him play twice live and he was very underwhelming, I don't think he will ever make it to campus. And apparently his grades were/are still terrible.

How high are we on Dreyland Porter DE from USP in the next class. I know he is a stud but we are going to have a ton of big time guys next year as well.

At worst he's a situational pass rusher... I'm ok with that

How hard we go after him will depend on how much weight he puts on but I'm pretty sure he's a take

Is he a for sure take? Or is he a plan B because of the potential of that class?

I guess you can't pass on a D1 kid from SP can you? Keep the pipeline going.

He is a definite take. Kid has a motor that doesn't quit and enough size to get some use out of him.

So, does anyone want to have a conversation about some old discussions we had about Jay and one other guy?

Don't want to flame or get in a pissing match here so if not, I'll leave it alone.

If you're going to pretend that you dropped Johnson and Linton, don't because that would be wrong. If Linton wanted to commit to State today, he would still have a spot. Johnson probably would too since he's JUCO bound.

Never said that.

Incorrect. Our Safety board is full. I don't even know how you justify saying that.

Previously, Johnson was the 1 of the 2 that I wish we would have kept.

Both said that State hadn't talked to them much in the weeks prior to flipping. Dropping is not what we did, however knowing what was coming, I doubt we tried hard to keep them.

ETA: Johnson will still probably be a good to great prospect coming out of JUCO. Linton is going to get buried on y'alls depth chart and would on ours too.

Well then we definitely do not have room for him.

That may be true. You would probably drop the JUCO one for him. I have no idea why MSU is signing a JUCO LB who won't be there for the spring, especially one from Holmes.

To replace Matt Wells hopefully. If you watch his film you will understand.

Maybe because he's a 4 star by 24/7, and Linton is rated an 84?

I went to Holmes last year and saw every game. Maybe he improved a lot, but if you're counting on him to immediately replace Wells, there will be lost production.

Jamal Peters.

ETA: How does a kid from Greenville end up in Hoodman
