I forgot about Swinney. I believe we land him also.
Who do we lose at Safety next year other than Cody? I can't think of anybody off the top of my head.

This is just personal preference, but I'm the kinda guy that would love a blue chip loaded secondary at the expense on DL/LB because you can add an extra to the box without losing coverage
But it could go either way... An Elite DL can make a mediocre secondary look amazing because of extra personnel and pressure on the QB

Technically Cliff Coleman but he doesn't play so who cares. The next year we will lose Connor and Elston and then Alford and Chief the following.

Yeah, but you need good DL and LB to stop the run and get a pass rush. You can have the best secondary in the world, but it won't matter if the guys up front aren't there.

Yeah it goes either way. I think both have to be pretty good for you to have good defense regardless and I'm here to tell y'all we won't have any secondary or DL concerns from here on out and after '14 we won't have any OL concerns.

Freeze hasnt recruited anyone harder or longer and the word is we lead. I don't know, just feels really good like Patterson

But if you can trust your DB's on man to man coverage, you can add an extra man to the box... That's a man for every blocker and a man for the QB... Man to man across the board = sacks...
It's a classic difference in two different schools of thought. But I'm with WIO, you gotta have both to have a really good Defense

The sad part about having an exceptional talent like Connor on the team is the fact that we only get him for 3 years :(

Eh you usually only get three years out of anybody... Mediocre players usually get quality PT in their sophomore or later...
Unless they're RS that develop into really good players... Then you may only get two :(

Yes but it's harder to except that you only get 3 years out of a guy when he's one of the best players on the team

The exceptions come when they have nagging injuries or just really want their degree... That money's hard to turn down
