If you don't think he is a 3 year player cool. Don't state 40 time and height as the basis for your argument when there are others with those same measurables who just got drafted first round.
Personally I think barring injury he has a very good shot at the next level. He could play SS or add weight and grow into a fast LB.

Lol right. He brought up the guys measurables as the reason he wouldn't make it then said lets not compare. Lol who is this guy lol
Then I brought up other guys measurables that were similar and they aren't comparable.
Maybe you lack logic.

Why? 6'2 and 4.6 aren't necessarily desirable in the NFL. That gets most players drafted in the latter half of the draft.
My whole point is that I don't think he'll be drafted high enough after his junior year for him to leave.
I think he's got a good shot at the next level too. Like you said, he's a tweener. It'll be tough but he's a good enough tackler and has good enough instincts to make it.

Brah, why you keep running in such small circles?

Round selection isn't always the basis behind someone leaving early. See Donte

Kenny Vaccaro is 6'3" 215lbs and ran a 4.63 and was drafted in the first round with the #15 pick by the Saints. Had 0 INTs as a freshmen.
Calvin Pryor is 5'11" and ran a 4.58 and was drafted in the first round with the #18 pick by the Jets. Had 2 INTs as a freshmen.
Jimmie Ward is 5'11" and only benched 225 9 times and was drafted in the first round at pick #30. Had 0 INTs as a freshmen.
TC was a consensus top 5 safety in the country coming out of HS. He has the size of these guys, the speed of these guys, and true freshmen season was just as good in a better conference as these guys. Barring a injury he definitely has a good shot at being a 3 year guy.

Now this is an argument! Good shite.
BTW Vaccaro isn't 6'3 I think he's closer to 6 flat.
Here is the problem with your argument, Tony doesn't play safety. He plays a hybrid LB/S as I'm sure you know.

If I don't think every player on our team is going to be a superstar, I get shat on.

I think most just want you to base your opinion on more than a 40 time which is the norm for S, and a height that is the norm for S. You say he doesnt have ball skills but he finished with a INT which you clowned when some of these same S who were drafted in the first round didnt have any as freshmen.
2013: Freshman All-America first team (Sporting News, 247Sports) and second team (Athlon) ... Freshman All-America honorable mention (College Football News) ... SEC All-Freshman selection (league coaches) ... Played in every game with 12 starts at huskie ... 3rd on the team with 66 tackles, while adding 5.0 TFLs, 1.0 sack, one interception and seven passes defended ... 2nd among SEC freshmen in tackles ... 2nd on the team with seven passes defended
Tell me what about this makes you think 4 year guy?

Most other safetys don't get to start as a freshmen. Thanks to Houston Nutt, TC was able to.
I've told you why I think he's a four year guy. Does Cody Prewitt have all of those accolades? Yes. Prewitt was a 4 star safety coming out of highschool and was an All SEC selection last year. According to you does that mean he should have gone pro?
Just because a player is great in college doesn't mean it will translate to the pros. Tony said himself this biggest thing he's working on this offseason is coverage. I personally do not think he'll be a safety at the next level. He doesn't have the best hips. What he's good at is tackling, finding the ball, and making hits. Those all fit the bill of a linebacker. If he can find a scheme where he will be a pure in the box safety, then I think he'll succeed. Maybe he'll have to put on 20 pounds and be an OLB. He'll be a great special teams player so that alone could keep him in the league for a decade.

while you may very well be right and do make some interesting points....just remember one thing.
Cody is very intelligent and went to a private school.
Tony went to USP. TC finna' try to make $$$$.

Very true. I think TC has a kid too. It's all a waiting game.
Posted on 6/5/14 at 2:01 pm to SouthMSReb
You are comparing Cody Prewitt who went to a private school and wasnt recruited very heavily to a guy who went to the best football program in the state and was a top 5 safety prospect and a 5 star recruit. Cody had great accolades as a junior correct. He could have left but chose against it. Cody Prewitt isnt TC. TC has two more years to get better and add to that lengthy list of accomplishments. Will TC be a 3 year guy? Who knows. No one is saying it is certain. But you couldnt ask for a much better true freshmen campaign.

That I can agree on.

#2 ranked SS on the big board
So this is where Tony is sitting as of today.. If you click the 2016 SSs you'll see Landin Collins and Durrell Eskridge ranked 1 and 2... Both of those guys will jump to the draft after this season ... Barring injury, TC and Cravens will probably be the highest ranked draft eligible safeties their junior seasons... They. Gone.
May God have mercy on your soul

Well hell, why are we even arguing? CBS sports has basically told us who's going to get drafted in what order 2 years from now!

Why is this bullshite still the topic?
