I think it might be more important for Morris to get his waiver than liggins if they still plan on using liggins at DE. We need another OT ready and we have plenty of big DEs right now.

I'd love for both to get there waivers though

Well Morris is in school, lifting and everything. He will go through spring regardless. Liggins would not get to do anything with the team until May if he didn't get the waiver. We have no idea how we are going to use Liggins and the only way to figure it out is to get him out there and let him play. It will be huge if he can do that. Otherwise we will still be spending fall camp trying to figure out what position he will play which more than likely will be on the offensive side of the ball. This also let's us monitor his weight. Our training table will be fully operational next week BTW.

I hope Christian turns out to be every bit as good as his rivals ranking, but that seems to be the only ranking people remember. He was the 20th rated tackle in the country on composite. He is a special case because he spent all summer in a big college weight room and will be much more mature and acclimated to the college game, but I'm not expecting him to be better than Fahn

I didnt realize liggins wouldn't get to practice. I was thinking it is probably going to take him a year or two to find a position and learn it so it wouldn't matter if he couldn't play in games.

I'm not expecting too much out of Morris but it would be nice to have him in case somebody goes down

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Lavon Hooks is gonna get a long look at guard in the spring

This is why I HATE JUCO DL. They usually don't work for us. JUCO OL generally turn out alright. Hooks was suppose to be a legit guy in the middle, now they are gonna move him to guard with one year left to play...either he really sucks or they plan to RS him otherwise he is completely wasting his last year.

Maybe some of the older guys know of a JUCO DL that came to Ole Miss and panned out. Dorsey looked like he was gonna do ok his senior year then got injured. I cant remember anyone from recent years that panned out.

I want this kid on our team as well. Hopefully he takes the GS/walkon position. If you look at his tape you gotta like the kid.

I think you have to have a healthy influx of those kind of guys. Guys like Cody Prewitt who when asked whether he would leave early for the NFL said we lost to MSU and I cant leave out that way. Forget MSU, the fact that representing his school and state matters that much to him is impressive to me. I like those kind of players. I think that's the kind of player GA would be.

Hopefully closer just doesn't mean USM

I'll give you Pena, he served his role. Grant? Nah. He was injured most of his time here.

Anyone who reads Yancy knows who DJ Law is. For others, I think we take him ahead of Terrance Alexander for the CB slot. It's between us and Tennessee. He's not rated very high because he's rated as a RB. Think a taller Mike Hilton with quicker feet.

One of them. He whiffs every now and then. Bird is more impressive in space, IMO.

Manziel was the only one I can remember him "whiffing" on.

Byrd got a concussion out of that deal.

I disagree. He was put to that test against Manziel and struggled. Bird took over as spy and shut him down. Then Bird got hurt, and JFF did what he wanted again.
