Three-star LB DeMarques Gates of Lovejoy, Ga., has committed to #OleMiss. Kentucky, Georgia Tech and Georgia all showed interest.

Gates is a Rivals 250 player ... He's gonna continue to rise in the rankings over the summer as he makes the rounds on the camp circuit... The Group of LBs we are gonna assemble this year is gonna be very special.... Opposing fans can spin it any way they want... Freeze and Kiffen are killing it.

Yeah but 3rd in the SEC isn't as big of a discrepancy when you're getting 5-10 overall. The talent gap isn't all that great when you reach that territory. Add good coaching to the mix and it's a much more even playing field than what we've grown accustomed to.
