Seriously though, go watch both play side by side. It's borderline scary.

I actually hope he has a better college career. Reggie wasn't all that special for most of his time at the U

I saw last night on the Jackson News where they interviewed him and asked him if he would go pro and he said if he gets a descent offer he will take it in order to help his family.

Is there any reason we are going after so many S? We still have Prewitt for another year after this year. We have Elston for another two years. We have Brown for another year after this year. Conner as a true soph, Alford will be a RS soph next year, CJ Hampton as a true freshman, possibly Jamal Adams, Cody Core and Derrick Jones could play the position as well.

Do we plan to move some of those guys to CB or LB?

That was his explanation that the coaches are happy to sign 4-6 safety type bodies because of the husky position plus the OLB position. You also have to prepare for the worst with CJ Hampton. The idea that we will land both Jamal and Marshall plus hold onto CJ is a tad optimistic so if you look at it as just adding 3 safeties in CJ, Walker, and an uncommitted guy then it doesn't look so overwhelming.

I'm with you though. If we didnt have OLB committed who look like safeties then I would see Yancy's point more. Dickens and Moore will either play OLB or Huskie. We have a true OLB committed to us in Gates as well. Speed speed speed I guess

Yes. I would assume a lot of these guys will fit somewhere in the 4-2-5 system, whether thats at stinger or husky is to be determined. However, with the D line we'll have I wouldn't be surprised to see it morph into a more 3-4 type scheme. We basically run that anyway from time to time. Pretty versatile D and we're recruiting a versatile frame with a lot of these guys. I may be completely wrong, but that's the perception I get.

That's where the style of play around the league is headed. I hate it, but especially with these new retarded targeting rules, you'll see a lot of teams sizing down and speeding up.

Hampton has played some corner in 7 on 7. He's fast enough for the position so if we do load up on a bunch of safeties then he's a possible corner.

I think Marshall is a Huskie type due to his height same with Moore. While Dickens is a tad taller and more physical so he could play stinger.

The dream would be...

Walker, Adams- Safeties
Marshall, Moore- Huskie
Dickens, Gates- Stinger
CJ, Webster, Gray- CB

Or CJ at safety and Walker at Stinger
