Since 1991 when the game returned to campus:
14/21 have been won by the team with the best record
5 of the 7 wins by the lesser team were won by State
Mississippi has only beaten State once in Oxford out of the 4 times State came in there with a better record

Whats the big news coming out soon Bears???
I've heard 2 rumors- one is you guys are losing a starter to grades, the other is good news that Freezus has locked up a package deal.
Which is it?

So we're not going to be losing any more starters to grades and we lost out on Nkemdiche?
oh....and when you say something like "Which is it"....typically, the two or more things listed at least need to be related as in a one thing or the other will happen but not both.

I haven't heard. The only player we could (probably) lose is Neat. If you think he's a starter then I guess that's correct. Out of those two "rumors" I'd say losing Neat is the one that is true because it is.
I assume the "package deal" comes out of GA, so I would assume that's not true or not true right now. No way that kid decommits and then commits to us "soon". Might be one of those secret committments but that's where it would remain, a secret, not something that would come out soon.

Because:
A) playing games on your home field is much different than playing in Jackson in a neutral site game
B) 1991 was also the year we hired Jackie and forever changed the direction of our football program. His hiring has titled the scales of the rivalry so that we will never trail again from that point forward
