Quay has been in the program and gone thru Spring Practice. He will also solidify us getting to a good bowl.
You're not getting the #1 recruit in the nation- so that point is moot. But a Channing Ward- yes- RS. You will not win anymore games because he plays. You would be much better off having him RS and have him ready to start in 2013

Coon, if we had started redshirting guys first year Mullen was here Bump, Banks, Boyd, Broom, and Fletcher would all be Juniors this year instead of seniors. Gabe and Nickoe would be Sophomores. You do what you got too, they just aren't deep enough to redshirt guys yet.

I support a program that produced a two time super bowl MVP QB therefore I know how to spot elite QB's. Yeah doesn't make any sense either
Players like Channing Ward, that already have NFL bodies, don't start for three years in the SEC and decide to come back to school for their 4th year (Fletcher Cox). You're wasting a year by RS him.

We're going to RS more than people think. Besides Itavious there won't be a single freshman who will start by the end of the season on offense. Our two deep/ST may include both OL and Walton. On offense that's it. We'd use a total of 4 players at most. I honestly don't think we will use Walton unless he's a complete stud.
On defense Ward, Elston, and Sandifer will be only players on the two deep roster and that's if they're studs. The rest will likely RS. So we would play anywhere from 5-7 freshmen, that's not that bad
