LSU has 20 commits and is waiting on some big time recruits I doubt he gets an LSU offer. If he waits too long Ole Miss may move on like State did

State is only taking one LB this year and we gave Duke an opportunity to commit early and he wanted to wait on an LSU offer. We started recruiting other guys and have some coming today we like.

True. I attribute some of that to Nutt's ceasing of all recruiting post-Vandy plus State simply having the momentum in the state right now.

Bundy I know yall are just going by what Paul tells you, but using common sense how you can you believe state has passed on Riley? What LB took his spot? Which prospect do you think you have that you will now take over Riley? Cant just say yall passed on him because he is more interested in OM now.

Edit: Also, why are you only going after one LB? You wouldnt take two? You only signed two in last years class and only one in the class before that one.

Walker Jones out of Memphis is above him
Another kid McGee from Maryland is above him.

Duke is a talent but is a little undersized for LB in our scheme he may be a good fit at Husky for y'all

We only have one Sr LB Cam Lawrence. Plus we signed 2 great ones last year in the Brown boys.

We have like 5 soph lbs this year.

but you have a balis for that

More like a "stinger". Our defense can be compliplicated. We will switch back and forth between a 4-3 and 4-2-5. In a 4-3 we have two normal size LB's and a "stinger", which is what Khemchiche and Garbut play, which are both around 210 lbs. In the 4-2-5 we will have two normal size LB's and a husky which is Brishen and Nichols who are both around 200. You may not care but you may so there you go.

True.

Honestly I don't know what the deal is with Suje. I was hearing he was close to committing to TCU last month. I think he likes flirting with schools in hope if LSU doesnt offers him he will have fall back plans

Stinger = OLB /S hybrid
Husky = SS

Amiright?

Basically. We still have a "SS" in a 4-2-5 along with a husky, but he's more of a cover safety than a head hunter. I like the system because theres a ton of these type players around. Hard hitting guys that cant cover. Its good being able to find a spot for them. Yes Nkemdiche and Garbutt are undersized to play LB, but there wont be any LB's as good in coverage or as fast off the blitz in the SEC, so giving them a position like stinger utilizes their talent. Same with Husky. No Brishen and Nichols cant cover very well, but they're two of the hardest hitting DB's in the league, so with the Husky position you utilize their talent. We seem to acculate a lot of these type players.

I'm talking about "shitting all over MS talent" or whatever he said.

Has Freeze or Nutt, or any of our coaches, said anything bad about Mississippi high school talent? Just because they recruit guys out of state doesn't mean that they actively avoid MS talent.

Dude scored 17 TDs in our camp/ tournament on Tuesday. I know it's 7 on 7 but that's still very impressive. Don't know much about his HS competition but sounds like he is just a pure athlete. Rivals lists him at 6' 2". Maybe he could develope into a solid possession receiver or add more weight and play S

Freeze - Not that I know of. He has talked about the important of winning the state in recruiting several times.

Nutt - He def looked down his nose at some MS kids. I say that now because I was told it by someone who would absolutely know. Also, Neal mentioned recently that Nutt never gave Buchanan a second glance, even after RB tore it up at one of our camps last summer as a rising Jr. Granted, at that point RB had yet to play QB for Prep but he had a very good showing at said camp, it was when he busted onto the scene so to speak. Anyway, my point is that Nutt has a shitty eye for discovering talent, especially at qb.

Nutt felt like he was above cultivating a relationship with MS high school coaches.
