She did not go with him. And from the last I heard, Oklahoma felt they didn't catch up in the race with Ole Miss on Treadwell. But they are still in the running. He will take a visit to Oklahoma State next. Michigan out of the running.

I asked him if he will take anymore visits, he said "Oklahoma State for sure." Asked him if Michigan was eliminated, he said "Yes." Just reporting what he has told me.

His mom not going is big for us. Especially since Oklahoma was his #2 school behind us.

Michigan is probably our main competition. But still it is pretty big in our favor one would think if we could say that OU maybe didn't win him over.
And mom not going after saying she / they loved Ole Miss is pretty big.
ETA: are we a favorite of any big time CBs? I know we are after TC but i just haven't heard a lot about CBs in particular which is obviously one of our big needs.

I dont think Michigan is much of a player anymore. Family friends with a guy who follows Michigan recruiting religiously and he says that the coaches have prety much moved on from him. Was actually talking to him about LT yesterday and he says that everyone up at Michigan thinks he is going to Ole Miss or Oklahoma, but probably Ole Miss. FWIW

oh Heck, thats good news then. I haven't really followed too closely.
But id say we have the upper hand then at this point. From what i hear hes kind of a jump arounder with his recruitment. If he sees a southern miss logo he goes and makes a private commitment or something

Of course Brassell is coming back which helps ALOT. Then I keep hearing Ryhad Jones(I think thats his name, spelling probably jacked)
Conner is thought to have the ability to play safety or corner at the next level, but would be a huge get. If he picks safety up fast enough it could allow us to move Prewitt to LB.
Also Witchett is another CB that is committed. He was once committed to UGA. Kid can play. I however heard he may have some academic issues that may cause him to come in May instead of Dec. as expected. Not sure how true that is.

I wouldnt expect much out of witchett next year. he plays receiver in jc and don't think he has ever played cb. his jc coach said that he thought he would need/benefit from a redshirt. which I think is weird because you don't recruit jc guys to redshirt

Expect is a strong word. Guys we have a shot with are Hooks, Rihyad Jones, Q Mireles and Witchett of course, and Za'Darrius Smith is all over the place in his recruitment so who knows.
