Thats not true at all. It's just that Yancy spews some much bullshite, you never know if he is actually telling the truth or not. By saying Yancy is full of shite, I'll be right much more than wrong.

I think Yancy actually believes a lot of his garbage. It's hard to call someone a bullshitter when they don't actually understand that they're lying.

Yancy's crazy. And stupid.

You guys dont exactly have a history of patience. Its what has made Mullen so successful to this point.

Heaven forbid we not show patience with a coach who literally turned in the worst performance of any Ole Miss football team in history.

And Mullen's record in year ONE was better than ANY record Ed Orgeron had. Comparing our treatment of our recent coaches to your treatment of Mullen doesn't really provide for particularly accurate or significant analogies.

His biggest job IMO is holding the class together in Feb after such a terrible season. If he does that, then you guys may start to make some headway

What exactly do you think he's telling recruits? If you ever listen to him speak about this coming season you would never be led to believe we will win more than 4 games. The way he portrays this season is 3-4 wins. Do you think we are only going to win two because that is the only scenario that our current commits would be surprised with

I've been told that Freeze has straight up told recruits to expect 3 or 4 wins this year. His argument is that it's year one, and we've got a lot of work to do. Your freshman year, we'll be greatly improved, and by your sophomore year we'll be even better than that.

Whether or not you believe this statement doesn't mean shite, because it's something that recruits like to hear.

I actually fricked that sentence up- I was in a hurry. I meant to say evaluating talent is what has made Mullen successful, and that you guys need to show patience with Freeus because he is starting off in a worse spot than Mullen did

We hear this alot and I get it whatever but lemme ask you and the others this.

What were we supposed to do these last few situations?

Nutt - He shouldve been fired. End of story.

Orgeron - won 3 sec games in 3 years and was just an incapable HC.

Cutcliffe - Health issues, mediocre recruiter, refusal to make changes on defensive staffs, etc

Tuberville - In short, he and Boone never got along. Really wanted to turn OM into a power.

Brewer - Got into a lil mess.

it comes from running off Cutcliffe- he made you a solid, stable program- but that wasnt good enough. And you have seen how bad it can be since.

It had more to do with Eli. We had something like 19 starters coming back from our 10 win team in '04 and we won 4 games. He was told to make changes in his staff and he refused. When that happens you don't leave your AD with much choice.

He made us no more solid than Nutt did. He succeeded off of Tubberville's players and rode on the back of a two-time Super Bowl MVP.

Then he went 4-8.

Thank God.

Hopefully he's ready for the season even though he missed pre-season camp.

One losing season and boom- fired

In the 7 years since, you have 2 winning seasons. 2 Cotton Bowls and 2 0-8 in the SEC seasons. And Year 8 doesnt look very promising

He was told to make changes to his staff and if he didn't he would be let go. He didn't so he was fired. It wasn't just the losing season.

I understand that- but forcing change on a guy that had just one bad season is overstepping just a bit- thus the "lack of patience" moniker. You can do that at LSU and Bama, not at Mississippi or Mississippi State. Losing seasons will happen.

OT, but Cutcliff always reminds me of the Bert's chili guy on signs and menus at waffle house.

Anyone know anything on 14 MS APB DK Buford?

I remember members of my family that are state fans calling him Otis from Andy Griffith.
