They say, the backup QB is the most favorite player on any team. We have reached this point.

During the Georgia game after one of Mateer's boneheaded turnovers, the camera focused on Mateer and Arbuckle talking. Neubauer was sitting like 3 feet away and not even listening in on the convo. I thought it was strange, like don't most QB coaches or OCs include the entire QB room in those situational discussions? Or at least include the backup QB?

I would guess that Arbuckle was ripping into Mateer, politely or not, and Newbauer did not think it would be a good idea to be a witness to it.

Its obvious inserting Whitt would make Arbuckle look like a fool. He would make mistakes but not like John. And can read the field. Is tall enough to see over line. Is big like Belldozer if need to run. Has a great pocket form and throw.

Whitt stayed this off season. Its obvious he’s getting some decent NIL. And he’s been loyal and patient in his time here. Could be a hidden gem if only we try him out in games vs tough opponents like GA. Its asinine he got no reps. Just to have 2 series woulda been good for him.

Our competition is so much better. But so os our team surrounding him. He put up great stats against Bama and that was with Mercer. 11 of 13 passing with 1 TD and 1 INT.
