Our baserunning kills us sometimes. Forst inning caught stealing and later batter gets double costing us a run.
Last inning we were doing a bunt/run but the pitch was bad and they picked us off at first. Follow up batter singles.
Momentum is lost. Against good teams you have to choose wisely. We are the best hitting team in country so it might be best to not be as aggressive?

A very satisfying series so far. I figured our ladies had a chip on the shoulder and something to prove.

Whats impressing me is our pitching. In the first inning it didn’t look good but she ended up pitching a great 6 innings. Same with Lowry Fri.
Pitching was my biggest worry because opposing good pitchers can slow down our best in softball offense. We’ve scored 7 runs in 2 games which is low for this team. And yet our pitching has been stellar.
Rocha is back from cancer treatment. I had no idea her impact. But its obvious she has a massive impact on pitching. I think I read she calls the pitch every time which I had no idea.
Our pitching is coming into form just in time fir the tougher series and home stretch.
Today is kind of a freebie. If course as fans we want to beat tx in a sweep. But I suspect Patty might pitch someone other than Lowry. Will give another pitcher time vs a good team. And less pitches vs Lowry to analyze for post season games.
And I bet tx uses their star pitcher, they have to salvage a game. We can play loose today.

Yup, we are going with Berzon. Smart move because this game is meaningless in the big scheme of things. I want the sweep but this gives Rocha a look at Berzon vs a top team.

Berzon gave up 3 run homer. Is getting pulled B3. Deal comes in with a 9.73 ERA. This is 100% a giveaway game being used to evaluate pitchers for the post season.

Still getting more looks and film for future. We left 7 on base so far so are doing ok except pushing them across

4-3. They are pitching their ace. We are pitching our bench. Huge difference and yet only 1 run down.
