Some surprises but there is every year. Sometimes coaches use the early roster to motivate players who might be starters by time conference games roll around.
And coaches see them all late winter/spring/summer so we have to trust them. So many positions have great depth and regardless the list - we will rotate players a lot - so most will have their chance to move up with great play.

I'm surprised Hawkins is 2nd and Thompson is 3rd string. Guess all the talk about Hawkins in fall camp was real

RCB is interesting. I watched Jacobe Johnson almost his entire H.S. career because my niece was in the Mustang band. That dude has ridiculous football speed.

Anybody know anything about Davon Mitchell. 5* TE that reclassified. I have seen nothing on him

I haven't heard anything bad about Davon. Just that he is young and is a likely redshirt candidate.
