Anthony, Thompson, Farooq, Anderson.. Hester.. Sharp (no loss, but still)...

The reason for all the WR's leaving may seem obvious, and the fact at least a couple of them were okay to play but decided to sit out... what the heck is going on with this team.

I was reading another board and had a thought. It may be a dumb thought, but here goes: Chavis, Venables, many others on the staff talk and preach about Christianity. They go so far as to advertise it as part of the team's makeup. I think that's a huge mistake in this day & age and I can definitely see why some players would get tired of it or straight up not agree with it at all. By the same token, a large portion of potential recruits or portal-ees may be turned off by it. Most people are not devoutly religious.

I don’t think that has anything do with it.

The wrcroom is fractured but it seems thats toed to the medical staff. Other than that most portals are offense and that happens with a new OC.

We are only seeing the portals out. Have to make a spot before filling. I think Arbuckle is a good OC and will bring in talent. Get that QB here and then things fall into place.

I’m not going to over react yet. How many were problematic behind scenes. How many were not putting work in. How many will land on a better team? Normally, players that leave here go to worse teams.

I wonder if this was directed to anyone specifically.

That's exactly what spurred my thought. Think about it. Football's a violent sport. This isn't Sunday School. Brent talks like this, Chavis does as well. If it's pervasive in the locker room, that could explain some things.

The administration got the program behind the 8-ball because they wanted a good-guy program, sparkly clean, Christian values, Soul Mission, etc. all while the sport was becoming the wild west. Good football players want to play for winners, period. And now NIL money is as much of a factor as winning. "Christian values" are way down the list of things they are looking for and preaching gospel to your players (and potential recruits / portal players) on Twitter is not a good look.

Well then, I guess we already know what all of these ridiculously highly paid coaches and administrative staff have chosen. Money, all they way!

Sanctimonious hypocritical BS if you ask me. If these gentlemen are willing to work at their jobs making the same money a nun makes working at a convent or even a priest makes working at a small local church, then fine. Otherwise, shut up about your private beliefs, recruit, and coach. That's what you're being paid (A LOT OF MONEY) for.
