Can OU find an offense in six days?

Everything went wrong on offense. We’ve made a 180 offense and defense in the last 5 years.

OC made many sketchy calls. That 3rd and 11 with a designed QB run up the gut to then settle for a longer FG was inexcusable. Many other calls were bad. The overall blame rests with him.

OLine was bad but not as bad as some claim. See my qb note. They are hurt. And that stupid Bates taking his helmet off. I understand wanting go protect your qb but man son, you have to be smarter. Cost us 15 yards but also froze the clock!

QB Arnold. He played like a true rookie. He left a protected pocket many times and has to learn. That makes the Oline seem worse than it is. He made so many bad reads we had open players but he got too focused on one target. That long INT was killer as we were moving ball. I am not one to say replace him, he’ll learn but has a steep curve coming up with our schedule

Recievers. Not getting separation. Not running past sticks on 3rd downs. Dropped passes - the best pass JA made was dropped after some contact. We are missing a few injured playmakers and need to grow up fast with others.

RBs. Need to get Tatum in more. And at one point we had 18 pass attempts and 12 runs counting qb. Thats on OC.

Punts: Our punter was great. I think we got away with a call in our favor too. But our returners need work catching ball. Got lucky we covered our muff. Its shot time after our D does great then we wait for the punt on pins and needles.

So to me its not just one thing but everything. We can fix quite a bit of this. I don’t want to overreact after 1 bad game. Defense was great.

Overall take: i would rather have a great defense over a great offense if I had to choose. We had the best football players in the country on offense for years and got nowhere due to defense. After a shitty game we won because of our D. Switch them and we likely lose.

Couldn't have said it any better. Now hopefully they get it figured out. Tulane looked pretty good this last weekend. Shouldn't be a game we should be concerned with but here we are......
