I actually met Dan at our 10 year high school reunion when he was coaching at Utah. Have to say, he was really pleasant and humored me. I still laugh that I told him “yeah, I know you’re a D1 coach, but still the SEC is just different.” Guess he found that out.
Megan worked for the Golf Channel and covered the U.S. Women's Open at Old Waverly in 1999. She spent time in Starkville before she ever met Dan and helped encourage him to take the HC job at State 10 years later.

Megan was, and still is, highly respected in Utah (but we don't have any "Southern Gentlemen" in Utah)
