It's pretty fricking self explanatory. Alcohol lowers inhibitions. People like to have sex with drunk.
Ok. It makes a person someone other than who they are when they're sober? In other words, it allows them to be used in a way that wasn't possible while sober?

No. Lowering inhibitions =/= becoming someone else.

Sure it is. That person wouldn't do the things sober that they do when they're drunk. It changes them to someone who allows themselves to be used in a way that wouldn't be allowed if sober.
Why would anyone wish to do that...to allow that?

You're not capable of defending your very troubling position. Maybe you'll actually think before you post something so stupid next time.

this a-hole has managed to troll a thread into 13 pages by just asking the same fricking question over and over again. It is truly amazing.

No it isn't.

Yes they would.

No it doesn't.

Yes they would, most of the time. I only lowers inhibitions to make it easier to do said things.

Wait, who's being used again?

I find the responses amusing, troubling and informative. I've not found a benefit for drunkenness in all the responses though.
Well....unless you call using someone else who is out of their mind for your personal pleasure a benefit.

So, really, drunkenness causes a personality change, the person becomes another person....someone they aren't when they're sober?
Um, no..The person doesn't "become someone else"...They act on feelings they already had but had suppressed. Have you ever taken a psychology course?

I ask again, why would a person drink "in order to get laid"?
I don't drink in order to get laid. I can get laid without someone else drinking or both of us drinking. I drink because I enjoy being relaxed and i like the taste of beer and whiskey on gameday and when i'm with friends. Why do you keep asking questions that you've heard the answer to? It's not rocket surgery

No, that's not true...thus the need for drunkenness in order to 'lower inibitions', to be someone they're not. That's the purpose.
quote:
Wait, who's being used again?
The person who is being used because drunkenness 'helps you get laid'. The drunk person you prey on. The drunk who isn't themselves.

No, no, no, no it isn't doesn't address your claim, your view that being a drunk (another person of course) "helps you get laid".
No, you're not going to tell us how being a drunk "helps you get laid".

This has to be a troll thread. I'm becoming more and more convinced of this. No one can be this dumb.

I'm a female. I don't think I've ever preyed on anyone.

No one is being used.

no one is preying on anyone else.

Yes, I've taken psychology courses. If the person thinks and acts differently when they're drunk than when they're sober, that's becoming someone else.

Another poster said that one of the benefits of drunkenness is that it "helps you get laid". That wasn't you I know, but just wanted to point out why that's being discussed.
The answer of "it helps you get laid" is a troubling, but an honest (I assume) answer. I really don't see using another person who is drunk as an object for personal satisfaction is a benefit to the person being used, but in the world of extremely selfish and self-centered persons I guess they would view it as a benefit to themselves.
