My mother tried to tell me that there is usually a pattern used per lot. As it gets closer to the end of the lot, the pattern has become smaller, which would mean the pants produced towards the beginning of the lost are true to size and the ones towards the end are smaller.

I don't know how true that is, but it makes sense.

I have to deal with this with my kids' jeans too. I'll buy the exact same size and style, but some don't fit the same as others.

Makes sense.

It's just annoying.

You're in the military and the little ladies at the exchange can fix anything you buy. Or enhance it so you can show off your arse.

Not exactly the same complaint, but I'll voice my displeasure with the lack of standardization in shirt sizes.

It's a crap shoot guessing if I need a L or M, and then I have to decide if it's going to shrink or not ect.

Nothing's worse to me than a shirt that fits in the shoulders/chest but barely comes down to my waist. I run into that problem often.

My issue with shirts is always sleeve length. I need a 33/34 length.

Long torso?

My biggest problem is mediums are usually too tight in the shoulders, but larges are too wide at the waist.

I wish they'ed make a size 'extra medium'.

I worked for a clothing store while in high school and I developed the invaluable skill of being able to guess a man's jeans size at a glance. Made for a fun party trick in college.

Same for me. I could guess height, weight, pants size, shirt/collar size, arm length, show size, inseam, you name it. Rarely wrong.

Women... whole different ball game. You can have two women stand side-by-side... same height, same weight. One could wear a size 4, the other a size 10.

I have a much bigger issue, finding shirts that fit right. They don't taper them anymore.
Seems like Carhart or Dickie's work shirts are the only ones that fit right.

Yeah, I have pants of various brands that go from 32 to a 35, and I fit into all of them.

Yep I wear two different brands of oants and they are 4 inches different in sizes at the waist and 2 inches different at the inseam. Buying shirts sucks because I wear a 20" neck and a 36 to 37" sleeve.

As far as work button down shirts the Brooks Brothers slim-fit and Banana Republic slim-fit seem to fit me the best. I mainly wear sport shirts so don't have to worry about neck and arm length. XL-Slim-fit fit me just fine in those two brands. Other brands are all over the place.
