Ya, I had the waterbottle of vodka to mix with lemonade every day. Ended up not doing too much drinking during the day cause it was such a marathon. Good music starting by 1:00 every day so I didn't want to get too far gone that I couldn't make it to the late night stuff.
Looking forward to going again this year, lineup already looks pretty stellar. Really hope NY & Crazy Horse are there this year to make up for last years cancellation.

We are still undecided, Ill be there the next weekend, so not sure if I can do two. Might head down there and leave the wife for a week in GS, while I come back to atlanta, then come back the next weekend.
For those that have been, how good is the sound on the beach? Thinking of just anchoring the boat off the beach.

Never done it so not sure about the sound, but there are boats out there every year so i imagine they can hear ok.

I went the second year and the sound was fine, no better or worse than any other outdoor festival I've been to. Not sure how it is out on the water though. I only saw a few boats and it looked like they weren't allowed to get too close.

I believe GS has a law around the public beach area and how close you can come to shore and where. I have a paddleboard and other means to get to shore no problem though. But we would only go ashore for bathroom, food, or just to walk around a bit

Yeah I'm a bluegrass man myself so the early part of the day was arguably the best. Really enjoyed the hackensaw boys and had never heard of them before. We found our spot, ingested our love and had stayed there from first show to last show everyday.

hackensaw boys were great, had never heard of them before. The London Souls were my favorite early band, and went early again for Aquarium Rescue.
Pick a side find a spot and post up is the only way to do it.

I'll be going for the 3rd year in a row. Really looking forward to it. We have a group that always goes together and we have a blast.

We were right on the divider from left and right stage so we could sit down for the 5 min between sets and have a backrest also kept the sun off later in the day.

we camped out just left of the SB every day maybe 10 ft forward.

They are a headliner, so yes they do play at night. I've been 2 years in a row, and loved it both times. Enjoy
