Actually completely agree with you. It’s almost like Hollywood is run by a specific and unique group of people with interests and tastes radically different than the rest of the country and they try to manipulate and subvert us in to thinking what they want.

IIRC she had scratchy cigarette voice all the way back in American Pie. She didn't have it in Big Lebowski though which came out the same year

I think it was kind of part of it. It's not just her looks she had a sexiness and the smoky voice played into it. For me though, honestly Big Lebowski was her peak
