I played baseball in high school. It took a pharmacist friend of mine talking me into a half marathon in Nashville that got me started running.

Have some pork belly burnt ends that are going to be coming off the BGE in a few minutes. Sweetwater and BBQ tonight. All is well.

water park was fantastic, today was Rock the South in Cullman (had no idea) so the venue (Cullman Parks and Recreation Center) was not crowded at all

Met a couple of other families from bham

it is totally worth the drive - the kids love that place

Swimming is the absolute best exercise, but that tacks on an extra 30 minutes to my workout in drive time each day, and time is at a premium.

The best shape I was ever in was when I did nothing but swim, bike and run.

Boxing always felt like the best work out to me. You're working on your strength, speed, coordination, and you'd be surprised how much cardio you get in just a round throwing those gloves around the ring.

Plus nothing wakes you up gets you going like a punch to the face

I’ve never boxed, but I don’t doubt that it’ll get you in shape and keep your reflexes in tune. But the older I get, the lower impact I get. Boxing doesn’t exactly seem low impact.
