I'm not afraid to say I would be embarrassed. I don't get how overnight the perception of gays changed in this country.

He'd have a LOT of difficulty recruiting in most areas. Not a lot of uneducated parents would be able to accept sending their boy off to be mentored by a gay man.

I doubt Ole Miss would have much of a problem with it. We don't really have sidewalk fans, and our most prominent and vocal alumni is all but confirmed to be gay, so I think most the fanbase would be "whatever, as long as he wins games." I'd say it would probably be the SEC West school that would take it the best.

I don't think it's backwards to have not jumped on the gay train. I don't want to lynch gays or anything, but I will never find it normal. And good luck recruiting in the south with a gay coach. The black population is overwhelmingly conservative from a social standpoint.
