What has happened to y'all?

I see this a lot more now, notably the rant from "southerners"
And even on social media from "southerners"
More and more using "you guys"
I'll admit in a professional setting I use "you all"
But is "ya'll" getting phased out?

I do this & don't know why.
I still text "y'all" but I don't type it in posts or e-mails. Strange

You will never hear me say "you guys." Never. Y'all or nothing.

Y'all just looks weird typed out and many autocorrect dictionaries don't include it by default. I mean I've said y'all a lot in my life but I don't like typing it.

You are really one of the few.
I work with a few fellow southerners and their accents are pretty neutral now.
They aren't full blown yankee by any means (like Boston or very thick NY) but they aren't southern either.

You have a Damn Yankee autocorrect. Mine has y'all. Even spells y'alls out correctly.

Not even that.
I'm typing on a computer in NYC and y'all doesn't get the little red line underneath it.
That computer is just old.

Probably the only time I don't use y'all when typing is when I have to use the possessive. Then, and only then, will I use you all's.
But in my head I'm saying "all y'all's".

If we were truly Yankees we'd use Yinz or Yunz
Fricking weirdos.

just had to look that up.
Midwest?
That's a whole different breed.
For me "Yankees" are the northeast. Those are some other kinda northern folk.

Oh no. Cincinatti Style chili is oddly sweeter and not as spicy. They usually include noodles like spaghetti mixed in (commonly from large catholic families that needed to stretch a meal), and they top that shite with a mountain of cheese, onions and god knows what else.
