Somewhere in storage is a box with all my old LP's. Pretty sure I have every pre crash album released (probably have not had them on a turntable since the 80's).

This might be an unpopular opinion, but they should have never brought the band back after the crash. The true force behind the band died on that plane. Just my two cents

Simple Man
Interesting as after releasing Needle and the Spoon they were actually getting it together and getting the booze and drugs under control (or eliminating them altogether) and then the crash.
They were the opening act for "The Who" which probably helped their early career.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the most underrated bands ever.

Do you remember the spinoff band?
Fox Chase
and
Train Train
I think Blackfoot only released 2 albums but they were good. Southern rock band out of Florida and the guy you hear at the start is their father or grandfather who had some connection / influence on Skynard.

Don't forget The Rossington-Collins Band.

Why didn't Blackfoot get more traction?

Did not forget them, just not the same feeling about them.

Not sure, they certainly had that southern sound down.
Pretty sure all the original guys are gone but looks like some form of the band remains?

Currently observing a massive work group text that has gone off the rails. It's gold.
