Don't even get me started on EBT cards.
Or Section 8, SSI Benefits, etc.

Meh, a lot of people really do need it.

I just think they should be restricted in what they can buy with it. Meat, fresh fruit/vegetables, cheese, bread, milk, rice, eggs, and that's about it. If you want to buy Cheetos or ice cream, do it on your own dime.

Correct. And I don't any "single" people on it. All of them have at least one child.

they can need it and use their special shame lines as motivation to get off of it. I can live with this stuff as a way of helping someone in a tough time but after 6-12 months the person should be off it and learn how to live within their means. Id also like to see any poors on it be on forced birth control until they can support a kid

It's actually a lot harder to get it than you think.

I had a friend in HS that tried to get on it in college (Section 8 too). She'd lost her job, her parents kicker her out and she had a two year old. She went to apply for benefits and the lady there basically told her in longwinded and more "PC" way that she was the wrong color.

The answer you want to say is funny, because by numbers there are more white folks on food stamps than black people.

Most dont want to admit a large portion of their hate against social programs has something to do with who they believe gets it.

*This should be fun*

Our government needs to remember the old saying about giving a man a fish vs teaching him to fish or however the frick it goes.

Spend more money on trade class education etc. start putting money towards a work force instead of breeding and encouraging government reliance.

well from the numbers it should be easy but you are right there are other factors you have to get around.

agreed, one of the worst things we do in education is try to make every child feel like they are equal and all deserve to go to a standard college. Some kids aren't cut out for that and do better on just physical labor or skills but not enough do that now.

also we will never see these programs change or go away unless we completely fall because these programs just create vote farms. its a nice little slave deal the democrats have created for votes. they give them just enough to stop them from working to improve themselves and they get vote after vote.

I mean, I see what you are saying, but the only people that would actually work on are the people who are already ashamed of themselves for having to apply for food stamps in the first place. It would have no effect on the people who don't give a shite and will never make any kind of effort to be self sufficient.
