Uniform policy

I'm in high school( don't give me shite, I'm going to Bama year after next) and I am currently being held out of class because I am wearing a Spurs jacket and a rays shirt underneath. I am going to miss two important lessons in chemistry and a test in U.S. history. We do have a uniform policy but it is very rarely enforced. It's a public school so I don't even believe we should be forced to wear uniforms. I think we should just have a respectable dress code that keeps people from wearing revealing and offensive clothing. You could say "You should have just worn the uniform", but the uniform policy has been up to this point just a general thing to not veer to far off from. Should I really be held out of class( all AP's and I'm a very good student) just because my jacket has a small Spurs logo?
P.S. My mom is the principal at the elementary school down the road so she is now having to leave her school and go get a shirt for me at home. I feel bad for being an inconvenience to her like this but I did not expect this to happen.

sounds like you broke the understood and established rules. Are you wanting leeway here?
Also, you're a bama, spurs, and rays fan? Why?

Well I've worn the same combination numerous times and never have had a word said. Today is the first. My jacket is uniform color with a small logo. I see students walking by the office right now wearing all sorts of colors that are no where near uniform.
Also my dad lived in San Antonio for a long time and is a huge spurs fan. I live in Alabama and I'm going there year after next.
And my extended family all live in Tampa so I go to rays games every time I go down there in the summer.

sometimes I think it'd be cool to be a fan of like 8 different teams.
Then I realize I'm much happier just picking 1.

I'm not trying to make excuses as much as I'm trying to point out how my school has been hypocritical and is now suddenly valuing uniforms much more than education.

Uniforms are a good policy. Also, when you are young pushing the boundaries of the rules can make you seem cool to your peer group. When you get older, the people you want to respect you are not impressed by breaking rules.
If you want to impress people, just admit that you were wrong and commit to following the rules that are established for everybody. Very few things are as admirable as someone who can stand up and say they were wrong.
Also, visit Ole Miss.

See the things I bolded? They're completely irrelevant because (a) you don't get to make the rules and (b)

You fricked up. Deal with it like a man. I'd start with a apology to your mother - who is certainly thrilled that her own son can't follow the rules of the school system that employs her.

They all play in 3 different sports?
For me it is:
Nfl: Saints
Mlb: Rays(like the mets in the NL though)
NBA: Spurs
NHL: Blues(just started following)

You are in HS, go away and nobody here cares about your fake crisis.
There should be an age limit here.

Alright. I was wrong for doing this. I guess I'm just mad at the power tripping assistant principal. I understand that my actions gave them reason to go on a power trip so it was my mistake. Doesn't change the fact that he's a dick though.

I don't believe you're serious here.

Never said it was a crisis? Just a situation I wanted an opinion on. I thank those that responded in a serious manner.

Why isn't that a viable lineup of favorite teams? I live in Mobile so I go to a lot of saints games because of the close proximity. I told you why I like the Spurs and rays.

Is mommy going to ground you later? You should run away if so.

Ahh to be young again and have something like this qualify as a crisis. Wear the damn uniform and sack up. A
