He's talking about jiu-jitsu competitions.
Awhile back he started a thread complaining about no slamming in jiu-jitsu competitions.
I explained that it's essential to keep the sport of jiu-jitsu isolated from other forms of combat while competing in jiu-jitsu specific competition -- which is why slamming isn't allowed. I linked him to a forum in which the overwhelming consensus was it made sense to not allow slams. The one or two people who suggested otherwise were laughed at. Yet he still had a hard time understanding.
Jiu-jitsu is known as the gentle art. The purpose is to limit damage to yourself and your opponent by making non-violent maneuvers as you attempt a submission. Which is why in the pure form of sport competition it makes no sense to allow slamming.
For whatever reason he thought he was 'getting me' by sharing what he shared.
I doubt he knew that it was only for non-gi competition, and in a lesser recognized organization.

It makes you wonder why Abu Dhabi of all places would begin to allow it. Abu Dhabi is a very conservative place, they are rarely the first to do anything.
Regarding dating apps, there was a guy on the Georgia board named Chef Leppard who posted (with screenshots) alot of his encounters on the apps. They were gold. It got him banned more than once. Absolute gold.

Because it's a martial art and slamming is a legitimate movement to get out, and is the most used escape for someone untrained in grappling arts.
