Exactly. Some idiot drunk driver could plow into a bus full of school children sending both of them careening off a cliff and he'd walk away with a broken finger it seems like.
When you think of how dumb some people are, and then you think about the fact that they're in control of giant mobile machines, it gets a little scarier out there.

Was the person drunk?

They're not bracing for it because they don't even see it coming.

they don't believe so, When i talked to him he just told me she had died in a wreck. It was a very brief conversation because i really didn't have the words for the situation other than telling him i loved him and anything he needed let me know. Then i saw the story on the accident and they said he was speeding lost control and veered into her lane. it was on the news though so I don't know if they had found out more, the story on Facebook said he was being charged with negligent homicide.

If it makes y'all feel better the friend I referred to in my last post was drunk when he had his accident and was the only person hurt despite 2 other cars being involved. I can't imagine how I would have felt if somebody else had been killed or seriously hurt because of him.

God, I hate you're having to go through all of this. Nothing I can say will make it any better. But some friends are like family, aka framily, and you are there for them no matter what, or feel close to the same pain they do.

Your friend's being drunk doesn't mean the situation isn't tragic. I'm sorry for your loss.

yea, this friend is basically family. He is my oldest friend and our families were pretty close, my mom and dad were both pretty devastated when i told them. Honestly just being able to vent is helping. Life is so weird, one moment the day doesn't feel real but its a great feeling and then months later the day doesn't feel real but it is the absolute worst you have ever felt.

I know what you mean dude. I don't know that these kinds of experiences ever really "sink in," so to speak.

Yea I get that feeling as well. It's just going to take time for things to at least settle back to normal.

Damn that sucks man
I am sorry for your loss
It is a terrible thing to have someone in a car accident lose their life because of another driver who wasn't being safe
I'll be praying for you man
