nevermind, I'm an idiot of course, the Hatfields and McCoys were on the other side of WVa on the Kentucky line

By the Waters of the James - our Irish blood traveled up and down this river before heading west a bit, and these girls nail the Irish sound here, especially that fiddle

Hatfields
McCoys
Kentucky / West Virginia border
Did you flunk US history (do they even teach it anymore)?

I was a linemen and not the brightest one. I am too dumb to give up.

FWIW. I am old enough to remember why Sonic was successful. In the old days in small towns you had one drive in on one end of town and another on the other end and the young kids would cruise up and down Main Street of small town America all night between the two. I seem to remember that Arkansas was one of the first states they expanded into.
Now I see them in big cities with sit down seating and no more cruising. The food was never great but the atmosphere was and that has gone while the food product is not as good.
To be fair, Warren Buffet totally ruined Dairy Queen
Mom and Pops are better but they grow to corporate giants and ruin what made them good in the first place.

When I was a younger man DQ was the nails. A lot more dessert product line and fewer but better meats like burgers and dogs. Their fries were really good. As a chain they used better dairy so their malted were awesome.
Buffet took over in the 80's and gradually corporate cost cutting for the sake of profits crept in. I was in a DQ this summer and it was not pleasant (food) but it was near the hood so the staff was good.

Saving your own life
I have eaten in some of the greasiest spoons but still better than most chains. Starbucks is literally the most coffee you can buy but kids today have been duped down to pay a premium for it.

I know no self respecting shark would be in any river in West Virginia where Jess White and his kin could get to him.
