Yes, you guessed it. Once again it is time to look in on the UK. This time where we are watching an ongoing debacle featuring Nigel Farage and... Count Binface.

Farage is the leader of the Reform UK party, a party founded on the belief that Brexit isn't to blame for the UK economy being in a free fall for the last 20 years, but that not being right wing enough was what doomed the Conservatives. As shocking as this may be to folks... as a percentage of the voting public Britain is far more right wing than the US.

Republicans here draw in somewhere in the mid 30% range while Democrats reliably draw in... somewhere in the mid 30% range. In the UK if you add together Reform and the Tories its in the low 40% range for the right wing.

So why is Farage locked in a political battle to the death with Count Binface?

Farage was caught taking some "donations" from convicted felons and while that seems quaint here in the States they take it mildly seriously across the pond. To show his strength Farage resigned from Parliament and forced a special by election for his seat in Clacton.

Only the national parties all opted out of fielding candidates, which robbed him of his glory, and left opposition to consolidate around... Count Binface. We know Count Binface for the years he campaigned as Lord Buckethead, the leader of the Monster Raving Looney party.

The danger isn't that Farage will lose to Binface, it is that Binface will be competitive. If the man that will lead your party in the General Election to determine which party will form the next government doesn't squash a joke candidate then it's the death knell for your party. Right now Binface is polling at 33%. That's terrible news for Farage.
