Ransomware attacks on local municipalities and governments are becoming increasingly common. This is NOT something to troll others about.

I just read the thread and I didn’t know this was a thing. It sound serious and I would punish the guilty where they wouldn’t do it again.

Ransomware is a really shitty thing that has been increasingly occurring lately.
Basically, someone stupidly clicks a link or opens an executable file that allows a malicious actor an opening into your system. That individual will then encrypt something important to you (such as your photos) and force you to pay them to get the decryption key by a certain time or they either delete them or post them online for everyone to see. (depending on the type of data it is)
They've been lately targeting municipal governments.

Just so long as the next time the conferences shuffle we don't end up with Texas in the SEC, whatever. Everything Texas touches turns to shite. But I would be all for A&M moving to the ACC or something. That way they can be with the other "prestigious universities."
