i have a hard time viewing you as an expert on ambiance given you described CLemson girls as 'easy'. you seem like a podunk dumb redneck to me. the fact you like Oxford so much could indicate it has a sleezy vibe to it given you talk about women like they are meat.

Ambiance seems like a subjective thing and I think there probably more than 1 good restaurant in Starkville. i know Kirk Herbstreit talked up one of the bbq places there.

yes but Oxford people act like Oxford is a happening place compared to Starkville. I just don't see how they can be that different given they are similar sized small towns.

i didn't realize I was the only one who used google maps street view.

you are desparate for an insult if this is the best thing you can come up with. the fact that you have repeated it a million times kind of underscores what a loser you are.

throw in the fact this topic has nothing to do with Arkansas , and it is weird you are so emotional about my comments.

why don't you go talk about something you are interested in rather than stalk me on here.

Yeah, being from Chicago originally made me your typical podunk redneck. Going to college in Charlestown along with visiting every continent except Australia and Antarica and hating "ugly Americans" traveling abroad sealed the deal.

When I was single, and especially after my divorce, women were meat. No different than they saw me as "P squared". Sorry that you can't admit the base reality of life for young men. I am sure now there is some type of support group to get you over this. Try Cucks Anonymous kid.

This is were you prove how truly ignorant you are. You "think" while I know. Hell you don't even know if Herbstreit was talking about Harvey's' or Little Dewey's without having to reference Google. That said there are about a dozen better BBQ joints within 3 hours of my house I would recommend over Little Dewey's. That said why don't you shut it down little boy.

you seem like the kind of guy who has to go to strip clubs because you can't get a date and form healthy long term relationships with women.

it is spelled Charleston, not Charlestown, you fountain of knowledge you. It is also The Little Dooey, not Little Dewey's. lol

your opinions about best restaurants are only opinions. what you are basically saying is you think the restaurants in Oxford are better than the ones in Starkville because you like the look of Oxford Square. the 'ambiance'. lol

i don't think there is a woman in the world that would be 'easy' for you unless she ugly on the inside and out like Lena Dunham. lol

Actually only been to 5 strip clubs in my 45 years and never my choice. Bachelor parties and such but I can find better ways to waste money.

Sorry for the misspellings but I am driving and not going to spell check. At least I have been to Little Dooey's or Dewey's (who cares it's not that good.....try the Pig and Pint or the commissary and you will understand). But good job figuring out Google.

Yes I said I liked Oxford Square....wait where did I say that? That's right!, I never did. Keep thinking young lad and feel free to troll if I start a thread about something I am ignorant on or is where you live. Then again I m not likely to be so stupid!

you previously posted this:

'Size has nothing to do with quality nor ambiance. My eldest lives in the Cotton district and it is a poor attempt at an old downtown feel. The only restaurant I will eat at let alone recommend is Restaurant Tyler in Starkville'

It doesn't seem unreasonable for me to conclude from your post that you are saying Oxford Square has more ambiance than Starkville and that you like Oxford Square. But you say you never said that or even implied that? lol

you claim to live in Charleston and can't even spell the city name right. lol you were probably alive when it was called Charles Town so maybe that is why you got mixed up. lol

what false claims did I make about Oxford or Starkville? What is it that you are so angry about? you are so uptight. you appear to literally hate lil ol StarkVegas.

kind of hard to believe that there is only 1 good restaurant in Starkvegas but multiple good restaurants in Oxford. lol i think the restaurant comparison is kind of pointless anyway for many college students. when i was in college, i didn't have enough money to go to an expensive restaurant on a regular basis.

Yet I specifically wrote this....

quote:

I don't even hang out at the square in Oxford

So not kid I never implied shite and specifically said the opposite. Hell when I go to Oxford I visit friends houses or condos (some are State, Bama or Auburn fans), go to games and go out to eat. If we do go out it is to the roof top bar at The Graduate. When I stay it is either with friends or the Graduate. Think next weekend up we may stay at the new hotel (think it is call The Chancellor's House but may be wrong). What I like is how the old houses are being restored or renovated. The landscapes and old growth trees. I like attending games at OHS also. When I go to Starkville I stay at with my Son in the Colton district. The best hotel in Starkville is a HGI and there is only 1 restaurant worth anything and maybe Bin 612 just for drinks/appetizers. SHS is an okay stadium but not a place I would consider sending my kids. And if there are any gentrified areas I have yet to find them. So Starkville is basically Meridian with a historic land grant college out in the middle of a field....

As for Charleston (autocorrect tried to change it again but I am no longer driving so caught it), Yes I lived there. I lived there for 4 years and visited numerous SC, NC and GA hometowns of my Citadel Classmates. And I am not angry...I am having fun. You are like the ignorant overmatched dumbass at the bar that keeps getting up to throw another punch only to get put back on his arse. So keep "thinking" & swinging kid.

says the dumb old crusty redneck man who asserted young women in Clemson are easy. lol

i have no problem with you liking Oxford better than Sville. i'm not not sure why you are so hostile about it though. you seem defensive as thought I was slamming Oxford.

in my opinion, they don't look that different from each other. the main difference is all the bars and most of the local restaurants are next to each other in Oxford Square and they are more spread out in Starkville.

Oxford is surrounded by farmland.

Dumb, nope...old, that is relative.....redneck, hell no, I hate them with a passion....and yes Clemson chicks were a sure thing when I was a cadet....guess you weren't so fortunate..,,sorry that I am not sorry

This proves how ignorant you are. Not only is Google your friend but so is Google maps. Open it up, search for Oxford, MS, when it pops up go to the upper right hand corner and tap the "i" in the circle and change the view to satilite. Then increase the view and scroll either East to the Hwy 45 corridor or even better scroll West past I-55/Batesville. Now you can see exactly what "surround by farmland" looks like

Keep swinging, you may land a punch but I highly doubt it.

lol i don't think most college girls at CLemson want a Citadel cadet. Citadel has a lot of meatheads and you obviously are one, given the way you talk about women.

you may want to check out google maps, because Clemson isn't in downtown Charleston, so I don't understand how Clemson girls could be throwing themselves at you if they live 4 hours away in Clemson.

Perhaps you confused Clemson with the College of Charlestown. lol

Oxford is a rural area, even if there is no farmland around it which doesn't seem likely.

Guilty as charged but rather proud to be an "honors meathead". Was the lone jock in my rather intellectual family. However, scored well enough on my ACT to earn 1 of the 6 full Marine NROTC scholarships my year...but the gals from up State (Clemson and USCe) and the CoC sure didn't seem to mind me being a "meathead".

There is this amazing invention called a car...don't live such a sheltered life kid....get out and explore a bit....maybe then you won't say Oxford is surrounded by farmland.....what else you going to say.....Fayetteville is in dessert.....Gainesville is in the mountains....Clemson is a better school than Harvard?

Swing again?

i love it when a Citadel grad wants to evaluate Clemson as a college vs another college.

Like you are an expert on Clemson academics and I don't think 'intellectuals' go to the Citadel. lol Citadel students are basically taught how to be yes-men and they agree to do a bunch of dumb pointless things that have nothing to do with gaining knowledge. I never understood why any young person would want to subject himself to that kind of harrassment with no payoff.

Given Clemson is much higher ranked than the Citadel, why should we trust your assertion Harvard is better than Clemson over a Clemson grad's opinion? My opinion is simply Clemson is at least as good as Harvard and its engineering college has a better reputation partly because it is a larger college than Harvard's engineering college.

Your opinion is no doubt based on the US News rankings, which are just an arbitrary set of criteria which have nothing to do with the quality of the professors and programs, or what employers think about the college. An intellectual would question these rankings.

i don't thnk you going to convince a lot of people there is a big difference b/t the scenery at Oxford vs Starkvegas. the towns are less than 2 hours apart in a rural state. i don't see a difference b/t going to a college surrounded by farmland vs one surrounded by a forest. lol it is rural either way.

you can brag about yourself all day but I don't think you've ever done anything with a Clemson girl. You just wanted to beat up on Clemson because you are pyscho defensive about Oxford which I wasn't even beating up on.

what is interesting is your started off your hostile remarks at me by asking me why I am talking about these two college towns in MS but now you demand in your fun hostile way that I need to get out and explore more. lol

obviously you know nothing about my background so it doesn't make much sense for you to assume that I haven't seen a lot of places. i obviously can't visit every small town in the country although I can come close enough with street view on google maps. That's why i love it. lol

Here is a link to google maps streetview of farmland in the Sardis area to the west of Oxford. lol

here is an excerpt from a good article I read about person who attended the Citadel for awhile:

LINK

'Each Friday we would march in parade for an hour. Add the half hour of uniform prep before and the three hours of scrubbing the floor we did after. Before dinner we would have to sprint back and forth in the barracks or up the steps for twenty minutes. After dinner we once spun in place for half an hour, and I still have no idea why. We typically had weekend leave, except those with tours. A tour is a fifty minute period of walking back and forth on the quad, with a rifle. They usually give them ten at a time. I missed a guard shift and got ten. Ten hours of life, wasted. For drinking in the barracks, you would get 120. Yes. Close to 120 hours gone.'

I think going to prison might be more fun than that. lol

I've never been to StarkVegas, however I am impressed and happy the program has a coach who knows what he is doing and looks like he will retire there.
