online? Imagine. Youre a teen in lets say 2119. You can go back and look at your ancestors' posts on social media. Basic stuff they did that day, thoughts on then current events, and pics/vids of them doing stupid stuff.
Would be like reading a journal, but its frozen in time forever, more interactive, and there may be pics of them in skimpy outfits or flashing the finger or getting in a drunken brawl which will make things more awkward. It would be much closer to knowing someone in your family that's been dead for awhile, but then its also kinda e-stalking a dead person
Kinda a random thread but yeah

If they read this they won't be able to understand it. Let me try to explain it in mixed emoji, the language of the future.

If mine end up anything like me they'll laugh at my temper and mouth. Probably tell me to hold their beer and watch them do work.

Well that's something I don't have to worry about.

I will put my username and password in my will and let the future generations gaze upon the wonders of the Rant and carry on the tradition of posting stupid shite.
I’m also going to get a medic alert bracelet that says, “Erase my browser history. NOW.”

Can't wait to complain about the younger generation when I'm in my 40s/50s/60s and say everything is their fault.

Everything is your fault.

Na it's the Generation Z's fault.

My family will think I was insane. That's OK though. Most people already do.

There will be a lot of grand kids visiting TD in about 30-40 years looking at post histories and asking "Grandpa, what does IWHI mean?"

Bit is it really. I can't find my old myspace online anymore. If a website that host things goes out of business, doesn't it's contents die too?

What kind of archives? Wonder if I could find my old AOL post.

Theres various sites where things from the web are archived so that they can be seen even if they are removed (such as news articles).
Not sure how reputable it is but this is an aol archive LINK
