There is not nor will there ever be a "cure" for cancer. Each cancer is variable and no one treatment will be a one shot do-it-all cure.
People need to sit down and really think about the ramifications of outright curing cancer. Statistically speaking, the results are terrifying. We'd overpopulate overselves ino anarchy and ultimately extinction within two generations. The population would hit roughly 50 billion by the turn of the next century if cancer were "cured" today, but we'd be gone long before that.

I mean. There plenty of other cultures around the world that have no where near he cancer rates we do. They die regardless.

Stupid. Who is "they"? There isn't a collective group of scientists that would hide cures for shite. That is stupid.
