Congrats to you as well Hardy!

To Latarian, I never really read any pregnancy books, but browsed the Internet frequently. Once mine got here, I used one for sleep training called Baby Wise that worked really well for both of my girls.

Lat,

You will forever worry about him. Expect sleepless nights from the moment he's born until you die. No lie.

It will be the best of times for you and your wife, my friend. But with good times and love comes a lifetime of worry.

My advice...cherish each day and try not to worry.

planning on swimming lessons early on. being raised on table rock I was taught to swim at a very young age (learned how to waterski at 7) and have always been a water baby. not much water here in North Texas but want my son prepared. too much scary shite happens in water that can be avoided with lessons and awareness.

You and the family need to come out with us on the pontoon this coming summer. Your son and my youngest daughter are nearly the same age. My 3 year old is a fish as well. We've had her on the water since around 3 months. She most definitely isn't scared of water...which is great but also a bit terrifying.

We're planning swim lessons this winter.

Ours are both fish as well (6 1/2 and 4). Our oldest has been in lessons, but we need to do more. We're lucky my parents have a pool so both can swim without aid, but I want them to be able to swim with proper technique.

We also spend much of the summer on our boat.
