Forbes list

I'm glad Elon is going to start supporting LSU athletics.There are some big-time heavy hitters in SEC country now with Bezos in Florida and Elon in Texas.

The poors in Alabama have no one on the list.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (May 7, 2026) – Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, recently announced it has now surpassed more than 1,600 employees in the Huntsville area, supporting its presence in Alabama’s aerospace economy.

“Blue Origin is proud to call Rocket City home. We’re building propulsion systems that power American leadership in space.”

Since 2019, Blue Origin has expanded across multiple Huntsville facilities:

The Engines Factory at Cummings Research Park, which produces the BE-4 to power Blue Origin’s New Glenn and United Launch Alliance’s Vulcan and the BE-3U used in the New Glenn upper stage;
The Jemison Manufacturing Facility in Jetplex Industrial Park, which produces BE-7 engines to power Blue Moon’s lunar vehicles, the Blue Ring spacecraft, and thrusters; and
• The historic Test Stand 4670 on Redstone Arsenal, where Blue Origin conducts hot-fire engine testing.

Blue Origin’s thrusters support precision propulsion, providing spacecraft with fine control for attitude adjustment, orbital maneuvering, and station-keeping.

As humanity returns to the Moon and prepares for Mars exploration, reliable thruster systems will play a vital role in making these missions possible.

I love trying to use superlatives to explain how rich Elon actually is.

Pretending for a moment that his net worth was liquid cash in the bank and ignoring any interest or investment growth, he could spend over $90 million every day (almost $3 billion per month) for the next 30 years before he ran out of money.

Or he could purchase nearly every professional sports franchise on earth – NFL, NBA, MLB, soccer, F1, NHL – with cash, and still have more money in the bank than the net worth of Warren Buffett and Bill Gates combined.

It's just stupid mind-blowing, in magnitudes that are almost impossible to comprehend.

Nix's primary money-making scheme was a "lonely hearts" scam designed to defraud homosexual men.
