Which ones have the craziest nightlife? Which are overhyped? Which have fell off?

Ole Miss is overrated.

Bama, Georgia, LSU, and Florida are good.

Miss State is absurdly terrible

Everything else is meh

Depends on the category I guess. Regarding "bar scene" (yes, I feel like a douche for saying "bar scene") UGA is an unrivaled #1.

A school like Auburn has pretty weak bars but I've been to some absolutely awesome and rowdy house parties in Auburn. It really just varies.

Well to answer my own question I'd say it goes UG, LSU, Florida, Bama, South Carolina, Ole Miss and the rest are whatever

Lexington offers at least one bar of almost any type. Pretty good overall. Can be a bit dead some nights.

I've had fun at every SEC town I've visited.

If you're not having fun when you go to another major college town, you're doing it wrong.

Oxford is fun but archaic drinking laws make the bars close super early. Starkville or College Station are probably the worst but that's relative because I've had fun at both.

CS has a pretty decent bar scene. There's definitely a large volume of them.

Yeah as the guy above said if you can't have fun in an SEC town or at an SEC school you're doing something wrong. Or any large public university for that matter

This depends 100% on the group of people you're around. Every large university is going to have it's share of kids that "rage."

The bar and fraternity scenes vary, but all schools are going to have kids that binge drink for three days straight and wreck stuff and girls that skank it up.

I've had fun in just about every college town I've been to. If you have a terrible time chances are you or the people with you suck.

Generally schools with great nightlife have shitty house parties and schools with terrible nightlife have great house ragers.

It's always a struggle to have a long house party when people are dead set on going to the bar. When your options suck might as well stay.

Top-Tier:
- Mississippi State - Never seen crazier things happen but then again that's why it's called Starkvegas.

- Arkansas - They get down pretty vicious despite being the smallest school in the SEC.

- South Carolina - never been there but my buddies have told me that it gets pretty wild.

Overrated:
- Ole Miss - I remember them being the apparently the partiest of colleges in the nation but I've seen nothing impressive plus their bars close at like 10pm.

- LSU - If it isn't Mardi Gras then it seems that nothing goes on in Baton Rogue, one of the most ordinary college town/campus experiences ever.

- Texas A&M - Besides the lack of women, the lack of general testosterone and the average height being somewhere around 5'8", College Station would seem like the easiest location to get laid if you were an average, normal height male, but then again there's the lack of women issue.

Do they even have a nightlife tier:

- Alabama - Situated in the slums of Alabama(Tuscaloosa), there is no distinguishing sense of collegiate partying or anything in an otherwise ordinary and overall boring location.

- Georgia - Maybe ideal if you were wanting to throw your four year old a birthday party. Athens, much like Walt Disney World, is more appealing to the younger crowd and would likely bore or annoy anyone over the ages of 10.

- Everyone else.

You can even run into that issue at Auburn at times, and we have a terrible bar scene. There's always that group that feels like it wasn't a real drinking night unless they go to an overpriced bar with shitty owners and risk having an a-hole bouncer or cop make their night that much more difficult. Can't say I understand it.
