In Mexico white is equated with Spanish descent and the darker native Indian population is looked more as peasant class.

I had a Mexican (national)engineer work on a project with me who explained this as so.

So, we can sure discuss it if an opposing view is in order.

Yep, this is absolutely true. Having lighter skin is associated with being rich as well.

Not racist, just a bit narrow-minded. You can't say that you don't find any black woman attractive because you haven't met every black woman in the world. Also don't equate attractive to you want to sleep with them. Attractive means pleasing to the eye. I'm sure you can find some good looking ones at Ole Miss.

My son and daughter in law had a baby while living in Guatemala.

When they started taking picture out doors there was always a group of Guatemalan children standing behind them.

My son would email pictures daily and I asked what was the deal with the kids. He responded they had never seen a white baby before and were totally fascinated. The kids would stand outside his front door waiting for them to come out.

My daughter in law said she started referring to herself as the mother hen with her little chicks close by.

People aren't born racist. They're born into racist families that ingrain that shite into them from an early age, which is just sick.

this, all of it.

Why do so many people think it is this simple? There are plenty of racists who grew up in a family that wasn't racist, and vice versa. As a poster mentioned earlier, some racists are taught to be racist, others form those views based on experience.

Because people like to make sweeping generalizations. It's easier.
