Lyndon Johnson also supposedly said some less than complimentary things about African Americans.

I didn't say that he didn't say it, just that you parading that around in a thread about liberalism/conservatism on college campuses like it's some indictment of liberalism as an idea in general is ridiculously intellectually dishonest. He was making the point that the Democrats were traitors for not doing enough in the name of liberalism, not endorsing the other side.

MLK has an awesome quote that is similar in sentiment:

Not necessarily mentally ill. We all lie to ourselves about certain things. Bowl's thread where he claims to be attractive is a great example.

And I never said he was endorsing the other side. And he wasn't calling Democrats "traitors" he was calling them liars, which they are.

Ok? And, from your perspective, why does it matter? Giving yourself a fist bump about a guy who's on the completely opposite side of the ideological spectrum call out the other side for not being as extreme in an ideology which you hate is just... Weird.

Yeah, all politicians lie. It's the nature of the game. They're trying to be all things to everyone. If they don't lie, they don't win. The guy in office right now isn't any different.
