Over on the Alabama board, last season our basketball mega-thread got up to 30,000+ posts (the current off-season recruiting one is 23,000), and Pio posted in there quite a bit.
When Nate Oats was hired at Alabama, he brought over Bryan Hodgson as an assistant, who was also with him at Buffalo for several years — great guy.
Hodgson is an elite recruiter as well, and was eventually hired by Arkansas State to be their head coach early last year.
Pio has been giving us updates on their progress, and Alabama actually got to face them in the regular season.
It's been pretty cool to watch him try and turn the program around. After going 13–20 the year prior, in his first season they went 20–17 and won 12 of their last 16 games.

Also, the smaller guy on the left in the picture I posted is Jeff Purinton, who now serves as Vice Chancellor for Athletics (AD) at Arkansas State.
He hired Hodgson, having arrived there one year before him.
He also worked at Alabama for about 15 years prior.
So long story short, it's an easy bunch to root for.
