This team needs to improve soon. This season has already taken a year or two off of my life

As long as y'all's defense is legit, y'all will be fine IMO

At this rate we will have a perfect season. It would be a shame to win one and mess it up.

That's the problem, it isn't yet.

They are trying to get up the court faster, so we can quick post ZBo. Problem is that it effects the defense sometimes. Plus we have been turning the ball over at a terrible rate so far.

The Spurs gave the rest of the NBA a blueprint on how to beat us and we are currently trying to find a way to fix that.

I think this is difference between Hollins and Joeger. Hollins would have been stubborn and stuck with it like he did in the WCF. The difference between Joeger and Lionel though it seems is that Lionel was a hell of a motivator, which seems to be lacking right now.

I'm not nervous because I see spurts when their offense is clicking and it looks like no one in the NBA could stop them, but other times where they don't look like a playoff team.

Sorry--y'all forced us to break you

That WILL get better. SA had a major problem with turnovers last year early, too.

I noticed that in our game against y'all, too. I really think y'all should have kept Lionel, but I say that as a fan of an opposing team.

I'm still on the fence about the whole thing. The slow start obviously has me leaning a bit back into the Lionel camp.

I just.......I don't know how you fire a guy that took you to the WCF and realistically was robbed of 2 wins in that series. I know there was more to it than that, but still.

Agreed, especially when the entire team is back. I can sort of understand if there is major change up in the roster at least.

Then again the Clippers fired their coach after their best record ever and George Karl got the boot as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see OKC's coach get fired if they struggle in the playoffs this year.

I need to get a larger sample size to gauge how things are really going. They have good test in GS saturday and we play a divisional game against the Pels Wednesday.

Didn't agree with the Vinny or Karl firings, either. I guess because I've seen how it worked out for San Antonio. People were calling for Pop to be fired in '98 because they thought he'd never get over the hump and David Robinson was "too soft."

I think longevity is better when it comes to HC's.

One of the huge differences is that Pop can develop the hell out of some draft picks.

Mike Conley is the only player on the roster that the Grizzlies actually drafted. We haven't been able to evaluate and develop talent for shite.

And I'm not sure that the guy y'all have now is the answer in that department.

I could be wrong, though.

Of course. It just seems very necessary for a small market team to be able to develop the talent they draft because luring big time free agents to a place like Memphis is extremely difficult.

Completely agree. Hell, SA is just now getting to the point where we can sell ourselves to free agents based on our name alone.

Wasn't it basically a battle of egos between him and the money people as to why he was let go?
