For the most part, Memphis has a highly intelligent fan base. I'm not saying there won't be the occasional nut job that strolls along telling you that Austin Daye is the second coming of Larry Bird, but for the most part, this city and fan base knows what it is talking about.

Looks like somebody was reading mine and tbirds convo and didn't realize tbird was a spurs fan.

The Euro Offense in full effect again. Be afraid, very very afraid.

I dont know why nobody else really runs it, but sure glad they don't.

As a fan of the Spurs I am sure it is a joy to watch. As a fan of an opposing team it is the most frustrating shite imaginable.

I thinks it's equitable to the old man in the Y that looks like shite but then plays pretty well and rustles the most jimmies.

What is bad for other teams is there are now variations of sets they run with Splitter. Robinson could not run the offense as well, as he wasnt a great passer. The key to running that offense is the 4. You can get away with mediocre 1 and small 5. But the 4 has to be able to pass dribble and shoot, which Timmy does as well as any 4 in hostory.

When they start using Splitter as a Sabonis type and running Green and Leonard through and back cut them, that offense is unstoppable.

The Grizzlies epitomize everything unsightly about playoff basketball. The way they win is rarely pretty but undeniably effective.

No matter where they finish or whom they play, they're a threat, a resolute and spirited bunch no postseason outfit—contender or pretender—ever wants to meet.

There was an article on espn a few days ago talking about that some. Not only is the offense the Spurs run so lethal, it's the ridiculously high BBIQ they have as a team ("corporate knowledge" if you will) of the players that makes it devastating. Not the easiest to defend or run because the scoring/passing options are in constant flux and to a man SA is unselfish.

Btw i wonder if the "boring" label will get stuck to the Grizz now that the Spurs finally seem to be shaking it in the eyes of the casual fan. Memphis ball reminds me of the defensive oriented Spurs days that caused people to call us boring to begin with.
