In the latter half, she addressed her latest work examining the ancient mythic record. Her intriguing conclusion is that humans were genetically engineered by a group of extraterrestrials (referred to as the Gods in the mythic narratives). In the oral traditions of indigenous people, some of their accounts, passed down for thousands of years, have been shown to be archaeologically accurate, she noted.

I thought you've talked about it before. Nibiru and the 10th planet, all that jazz. No?

Ah ok. It's a spin off of Chariots of the Gods.

So long story short, Zecharia Sitchin, an economist by trade, looked at a bunch of Sumerian tablets and thought they'd been deciphered incorrectly. According to his interpretation they told the story of an extraterrestrial origin of humanity. The basics are that there's a hidden planet, Nibiru, that has a long irregular orbit around the sun. Nibiru is home to a race known as Annunaki who because of their orbit need gold to augment their atmosphere and keep their planet inhabitable.

They came to Earth to get that gold and then genetically manufactured a slave species to work in the mines, Humans, by mixing their DNA with primates. This went on for a while until there was a disagreement between them that in part or in whole involved the status of humanity. They fought a war between themselves and disasters fell on the Earth like the Flood. They eventually left but are still referred to in the origin myths and religions of various ancient peoples like the Sumerians, Egyptians, Indians, etc. They will eventually come back.

Sitchin shat out a bunch of books about it. It's been largely discredited.
